Frequently asked...
What can I expect at an engagement session with you?
I try to make my sessions as relaxed and full of laughter and fun as I can. I guide you and prompt you every step of the way.If you feel nervous or awkward, it's my job to lead you through in a way that makes you feel comfortable and brings out your individual personalities as well as the dynamic between the two of you. My main goal is to leave you with photos that look effortless and make you feel something when you look at them. I can help with choosing locations or outfits too! I usually suggest one casual and one more dressy outfit.

Do travel fees apply?
I live outside New Orleans in Slidell, LA. I will travel anywhere within 90 miles without a travel fee. There are a few exceptions to this and travel fees are minimal. Always reach out to check!

How do I know how much coverage I need?
I get asked this a lot! My most commonly booked package is 8 hours. I offer packages from 6-10 hours. Eight hours is the sweet spot that will usually fit everything from getting ready to your leave at the reception. This does vary based on your situation though so feel free to reach out and I can help.

Do I really need a second shooter?
Second shooters are really helpful if you aren't doing a first look before the ceremony. It guarantees the best coverage of brides coming down the aisle AND groom's reaction. I can still photograph both without a second shooter but coverage is better with another photographer. You will get more secondary shots and more candid shots at your reception as well. You will get plenty either way but a second shooter will provide even more depth and range to your coverage.

How do I book?
To officially book and hold a date in my calendar, I require a signed contract and $500 deposit. All contracts are signed electronically and deposits are paid online. It's super easy!

Have you ever lost anyone's files or had equipment issues?
I take every precaution to make sure I am covered in case of an equipment malfunction. I shoot on multiple memory cards at once. So if one fails there is a back up. I also back up your files a second time on an external drive when I get back from the wedding. I always bring a secondary camera and backup flashes. I also have plenty of lenses to ensure I can get you great photos in any situation.

How long does it take to get photos back?
The industry standard for this is 6-8 weeks but I strive to get my clients their photos within 4 weeks. Engagement photos are delivered within 2 weeks. I also send a preview to you within 48 hours so you don't have to wait in anticipation to see what your photos will look like!

What is your editing style?
I try to be true to the day. I don't over edit (too warm or too cold) and the bright and airy look of your photos will depend on the lighting of your day and venue. I believe you can get beautiful photos in any setting! I don't over edit colors because you spend a lot of time choosing the colors for your wedding. I want you to look back and remember it how it actually was when you look at your photos years from now. I try to create timeless images that will stand the test of time. I do mix in some images that have more of a film/nostalgic look to them typically.
